My experience here was terrible. If I could rate no stars I would. The woman used a hot comb on my hair and burnt it off. Used grease on my edges. Just terrible. Not to mention the 1st charged me an arm and leg. Would never ever do it again. Please stay clear.
Its a okay salon but if you are natural I wouldn't recommend going here. I have natural thick hair. I was told I need a press in curl not just a flat iron. When I went in I asked 4 a wash deep conditioner trim and flat iron. The stylist who washed in styled my hair was very ruff she only works Friday's and Saturdays. She told me since I had thick hair she had to be rough as far as the washing she scratch the bejesus out of my hair it hurt and I felt like I had whip lash. Instant headache. My hair was never deep conditioner nor trimmed. She told me I needed a trim but never trimmed my ends. Didn't flat iron as straight as I wanted it. No curl even after I told her to bend it more she stated its because my ends needed to be trimmed. I was over charged 10 more than what someone else I knows pays for the same thing that's not even including the 2 dollar fee for using a card. The response was it depends on the length of the persons hair. I will not be going back there. I would rather go to the Dominicans 2nd day in my hair is a hot mess.
I have been coming here for years. They have always treated me more like family then just a customer. My hair has always came out healthy, gorgeous, & completely exactly what I ask for. I love this place. Will never switch hair salons ever.
I got my hair done by Dawn Clayton worst mistake ever. She dug her nails in my scalp as she was washing my hair then she kept hitting me in the head with the blow dryer and when it came to styling she used the hot comb and burned my scalp multiple times and I still had to pay full price! I definitely won't be getting her again and I wouldn't recommend her at all!
I needed my hair braid for crochet braids last minute and I called this place. The person I spoke to said she had an opening for 1 pm so I hurried up and took it. I called back a short while later and I guess someone different answered. I needed to ask if I needed to bring hair. I prefer adding hair if I want my style to last. She said it would be fine and they probably have left over hair. So I go there they tell me my appointment was for 1:30 pm ...sure ok. No biggie I go and come back at 1:30. She has another client so I'm waiting about 20-30 min. I tell her I want my cornrows straight back. When I get in the chair I ask her if she is going to add hair she said no and that would take up more time and I need to go buy it. I did call before because I have a lot of braiding hair at home but ok. So I run to get the hair and come back she is quick with braiding my hair which is fine. But when I see my reflection how she curved the braids on one side and no middle part I was like really???? I said i wanted them straight back. I thought about making a fuss but said never mind I won't be going back. Whether she felt like she was doing me a favor or not I am a paying customer. She could have told me to re schedule next week. I knew it was last minute on a Saturday that would have been fine if she couldn't fit me in.
